  • Provide technical support as required to ensure plant equipment is operating and optimized. This would include trouble shooting of down equipment as required. Understanding equipment electrical controls obsolescence and creating a plan to mitigate. Participate as part of a team to drive improvements in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) for the plant

  • Implement error proofing solutions that are integrated into the assembly line or manufacturing process control system. Examples would be the integration of DC tools, cameras, laser sensors, in-process/post process gage systems, data collection etc

  • Team member for the planning and development of processes and equipment that incorporate the most advanced cost effective technology for engine assembly, machining, measurement, and material handling. Emphasize lean manufacturing, automation and other state-of-the-art methodologies

  • Participate in new equipment design and build reviews to ensure that the electrical control systems meet company specifications

  • Project management and commissioning of capital equipment projects as assigned. Scope could include complete project or the electrical controls part of the project

  • Integrate common equipment controls best practices between plants

  • Review equipment control systems to ensure that the system meets all applicable safety standards

  • Process data collection and reporting

  • Supporting the Production and Maintenance departments with equipment and processes

  • General technical support of the Production and Maintenance Departments

  • Continuous improvement of manufacturing processes incorporating productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety aspects



Required Qualifications :

  • A four year degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology is preferred; however a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered

  • Prior employment in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment with ISO/TS 16949 certification is a plus

  • Five years related experience and/or training with PLC’s and electrical control systems or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • High level of proficiency with PLC Programming software and other technical software necessary to interface/program/troubleshoot/configure factory automation equipment

  • Seeking a candidate with excellent technical skills in addition to people skills

  • Must work well with team members at all levels of the company.
