Job Description :


  • Large, global Civil & Environmental Engineering firm focusing on $50M-$150M+ municipal projects all over the world

  • This role will lead the Mid-Atlantic region in all aspects of mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing design for all projects in the designated territory

  • Involvement in all areas of a project including planning, preliminary and final designs, and providing engineering services for projects in construction

  • Lead engineers through hands-on design for mechanical systems in water & wastewater facilities – both technically and as a mentor

  • Act as primary point of contact for Project Managers and assign technical resources to projects based on skill level

  • Present designs to clients and make recommendations with strong communication and presentation skills

  • Utilize strong leadership skills to develop and mentor less experienced engineers

Required Qualifications :


  • 10+ years of experience in industrial or municipal mechanical/HVAC/plumbing design

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required

  • Professional Engineer Certification with ability to become certified in other states

  • Experience in Revit and other CAD software

  • Excellent communication skills – written & verbal

  • Relevant areas of experience include:

    • Application of various types of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and hydronic piping systems

    • HVAC controls systems and building/facility management systems

    • ASME B31.1 Power Piping or ASME B3.9 Building Services Piping designs

    • International Mechanical Code and Plumbing Code

    • Performance of detailed HVAC and hydraulic pressure drop calculations

    • SMANCA Duct Construction Standards

    • Performing heat and cooling load calculations using software

    • NFPA 820 HVAC designs

    • Hot water boiler and chilled water system designs
