Financial Analyst, Operations Support

The Role

In this role, you’ll work closely with the GM/VP of the business providing analysis on operational data, providing weekly/monthly Scorecards regarding key performance metrics, providing ad-hoc analyses to management, leading kaizens activities, driving process improvement initiatives and acting as a key liaison between Finance and Operations to ensure alignment with short and long-term strategic objectives for Joerns.


A look into the day to day:

  • Acts as key liaison between Finance and Operations to drive improvement

  • Interact consistently with Operational leadership to determine level of reporting needs and support

  • Gather, analyze, and prepare recommendations regarding variance analysis and operational performance

  • Develop and delivers valuable and actionable performance metrics directly to internal stakeholders

  • Manages daily/weekly/monthly KPI reporting which aligns with critical business objectives (ie. Employee Turnover, Inventory position, Capacity, Utilization, Cost Trends and Safety/Worker’s Comp, etc.)

  • Participates in CAPex evaluations, providing balanced perspective on impact of opportunity

  • Supports Annual Budgeting and Periodic Forecasting efforts

Required Qualifications :


The Candidate

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in finance or related fields

  • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment

  • Dependable, punctual, organized, detail-focused and high standards for accuracy and precision

  • Knowledgeable of commonly-used Operational Tracking metrics

  • Knowledgeable of Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office applications

  • Flexible/adaptive to change and ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Accepts feedback from others

  • Ability to travel up to 20% Travel Domestically
