Job Description :
With increases in both sales and production, this South Charlotte based HQ is embracing their continued growth by adding new equipment, technology, and talent.  This new financial opening will work regularly with both the Corporate Controller and Finance Controller to accomplish the tasks at hand.

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant will be a key component within the Finance function responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions and timely reporting to Management while striving to maintain a rigorous system of internal controls. 

General Duties


  • Collaborates with a second Senior Accountant to regularly record journal entries and take responsibility for the accuracy of the general ledger, in accordance with applicable accounting standards

  • Prepares in-depth monthly balance sheet review and analysis

  • Performs monthly reconciliations on all balance sheet and P&L accounts

  • Assists in the preparation of monthly cash flow statement

  • Maintains a chart of accounts and ensures appropriate mapping of transactions across cost centers, profit centers and business units

  • Works with the IT group to streamline reporting using ERP and subsystems

  • Handles the timely filing of quarterly and yearly corporate income tax filings

  • Assists with the completion of all external audits and compliance reporting requirements

  • Research moderately complex accounting matters and draft position memos

  • Assist the Corporate Controller and Financial Controller in establishing and enforcing a strict set of internal controls processes and practices


Month End Close



  • Directly manages the monthly closing process to ensure strict timelines are met for submission of financial information to Management, Parent and all external stakeholders

  • Supports the Director of Finance in performing analysis of actual results compared to forecast and budget

  • Consistently reviews accounting treatment and ensures compliance with IFRS

  • Assists the Credit & Collections group in all cash collection efforts to support the business

  • Provides report and analyses to other groups throughout the organization wherever necessary

  • Ensures all accounting issues are researched and properly documented on a timely basis


Fixed Assets



  • Enforces a strict capitalization policy and ensures compliance by organization

  • Provides training throughout the company on appropriate capitalization policies and procedures

  • Assists with the fixed asset sub-ledger for both accounting and tax reporting

  • Manages all fixed asset inventories and audits

  • Other requests for reporting and/or analysis as requested by the Corporate Controller & Financial Controller




Required Qualifications :


  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 3+ years of accounting experience and/or public accounting experience

  • CPA is a plus
