Systems Administrator


Position Summary
Systems Administrator will be supporting production environment within a financial platform.
We seek creative, energetic and skilled employees to join our dynamic, industry-leading organization.
 
Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • This is a hands-on technical position, in a complex multi-platform production environment, with a wide variety of duties that include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing operating system and application support for systems running Windows

  • Supporting software engineering efforts for new product development.

  •  Developing automation for server builds, software deployment, administration and maintenance of systems and applications.

  • Building and administering Windows servers and accompanying infrastructure, maintaining capacity and performance.

  • Supporting and maintaining a multi-site, multi-domain Active Directory structure. Maintaining AD domain policies.

  • Maintaining high-availability and operational stability of all production platforms

  • Actively participating in technology refresh projects, design and building new systems, migrating services as needed

  • Participating in critical security application and OS patch deployments.

  • Providing technical leadership and oversight to junior administrators. Documenting standard operating procedures.

  • Participating in 24x7 on-call rotation for after-hours issue escalation and resolution.



 

Required Qualifications :

Experience Required



  • 8+ years technical experience in a windows environment

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016 and 2012

  • Experience configuring Active Directory and GPOs, in a multi-domain environment

  • Strong PowerShell experience in writing or maintaining scripts for server build automation and periodical administrative tasks. Exposure to Desired State Configuration.

  • Exposure to Agile methodology and DevOps

  • Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, and other relevant protocols

  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose, resolve, and document complex issues in a timely fashion

  • Experience with Windows OS patch deployment and verification

  • Experience with hardware, Operating System, and application monitoring

  • Familiar with backup and system recovery procedures

  • Unix/Linux exposure welcome
