Job Description :
Our client is a growing HQ in South Charlotte.  Due to a recent organizational change, they are adding a Corporate Controller to focus on their domestic business lines.



Responsibilities:



  • Accountable for integrity, completeness and quality of financial information and reporting, in accordance with corporate policies, IFRS and local regulations.

  • Execute closing activities as per corporate calendar, including all specific requirements

  • Manage accounts payable and credit and collection activities

  • Lead and coordinate year-end financial closure and audit

  • Coordinate external audits

  • Ensure quarter end and year end activities are executed

  • Ensure compliance with local fiscal requirements and regulations

  • Proactively engage corporate support in problem resolution relating to financial, tax and other matters 

  • Execute as per corporate guidance, treasury related activities

  • Implement and monitor internal controls over financial reporting as per corporate guidelines

  • Ensure compliance with the line of authority for OPEX, R&D and CAPEX within her/his geography

  • Lead the implementation of new policies and procedures for legal entity

  • Support any M&A integration activities (due diligence, integration, etc)

  • Responsible for management reporting for the legal entity under its scope

  • Play a Partner role to the business leaders by providing an accurate view of financial result and identifying performance driving levers to achieve business objectives.

  • Analyze, review and report financial results by BU/Divisions/Functions to the accountable Management Team and BU/Divisions/Functions Finance Leads

  • Prepare required financial content for monthly BU/Division/Functions performance review

  • Prepare monthly forecast for the legal entity under its scope, by BU/Divisions/Functions in collaboration with the accountable management team and under guidance of the BU/Divisions/Functions Finance Leads

  • Coordinate and prepare the financial aspect of the budget process for the legal entity under its scope by BU/Divisions/Functions

  • Complete any ad hoc analysis requested

  • Prepare and manage the capital request for the legal entity under its scope, in line with BU/Division/Functions requirements/budgets

  • Develop performance measures that support the strategic direction.

  • Supervise accounting & FP&A team and ensure employees objectives are aligned with overall finance and business strategies

  • Manage employees’ performance to ensure they meet their objectives

  • Develop and coach team members, and execute succession planning activities for own scope as well as play an active role with the global Finance team

  • Implement new ERP solution

  • Continuous improvement on financial processes/controls/tools/systems in line with transformation objectives in Finance


Required Qualifications :


  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA or CPA in process 

  • 5+ years of experience in a Controllership or Management position

  • Solid manufacturing or distribution industry experience
