Job Description :
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Advanced statistical forecast modeling • Develop demand plans at multiple levels of item and location (Domestic and International) • Collaborate with sales, marketing, sourcing, supply planning and finance to: • Ensure that current and accurate business assumptions are included • Research demand drivers and evaluate the impact on demand plan • Research and reconcile significant demand plan variances (GAP analysis) • Provide input to Supply Planning team in developing inventory strategies on items linked to their life cycle • Use and maintain Demand Planning tool parameters and assumptions • Gather, analyze and validate data • Identify root causes and drivers to improve forecasts • Facilitate collaborative planning process with stakeholders to reach consensus. • Lead demand plan review meetings with internal stakeholders as well as vendors • Prepare and maintain reports to support demand and supply planning process • Review demand drivers including sales, financial and marketing plans. • Review Stock Availability with Supply Planning • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management • Demand plan input to monthly and annual business plan • Continually improve processes, tools and methods to improve demand plan results. • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts. • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. • Other job tasks as requested JOB TITLE: DEMAND PLANNER JOB CODE: 3194 STATUS: SALARY  EXEMPT REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF S&OP HR-3194 REV01  01/30/19 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE • Establishes priorities appropriately, demonstrating an understanding of the urgency of tasks and the impact of tasks on the department/company • Demonstrate integrity, honesty, a sense of responsibility, and loyalty in the performance of all tasks • Uses clear, concise language to provide timely and accurate written and oral communication • Sustain interpersonal relationships which encourages openness, candor and trust, both internally and outside of RSC • Provide creative solutions to complex problems.
