Job Description :

Our client is a global manufacturer with EXCELLENT benefits and local room for growth.  This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with a finance background to get more involved with operations.  For the first 12 months, the position will focus on inventory analysis and projects around the current inventory process.  Following the first 12 months, the role will be 60% inventory analysis and 40% financial/project analysis.  This role reports to a FANTASTIC Manager/Mentor that has a solid background in both finance and operations.  


The Inventory Financial Analyst will collaborate with the field management team to ensure the right inventory levels and items are maintained within the field.  The individual will interact with vendors, field management and the supply chain group to have accurate lead time estimates in order to avoid stock –outs and missed revenue opportunities.  The position will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels given a targeted through-put rate.  


Essential Tasks:

  • Quantify and continually monitor the proper inventory levels for approximately 200 field locations on a targeted throughput rate

  • Based on past usage information optimize each field location’s inventory selection to maximize first-time fix rate including min/max rates by item and reorder points

  • Develop and maintain ordering, transfer and disposal procedures to ensure field inventory is accurate at all times

  • Participate in annual inventory counts

  • Work with the supply chain group and vendors to maintain accurate lead times 

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in business-related field (accounting, Finance, etc.)

  • 2+ years of financial analysis and at least 1 year of inventory exposure/experience

  • Advance Microsoft excel/access, must be able to work with and manipulate large data sets

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively with management team and peer group on a regular basis

  • Travel required up to 25% of time

  • Ability to analyze, interpret and present information succinctly 

  • Must be able to work effectively with limited supervision
