Job Description :
 

  • Prepare all intercompany invoices and entries in SAP to properly record all intercompany/SLA billings and payments

  • Assist Manager on intercompany SLA calculations

  • Maintain and update expense database used for analytics

  • Monitor bank accounts to record cash transactions related to regulatory reporting, taxes, intercompany settlements, and payroll special fees

  • Assist Manager with quarter end and year end close activities including accruals, audit schedules, and ad hoc analysis and schedules

  • Maintain fixed asset listing and rollforward. Review depreciation entries prepared by Hub

  • Review and ensure accuracy of payroll and intercompany billings entries prepared by Hub

  • Perform Quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliations, research and resolve variances

  • Assist Manager in completing Statutory (Blue Book) analytics, exhibits and footnotes

  • Assist Manager in completing quarterly tax schedules

  • Adhere to a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality

  • Troubleshoot and perform research to resolve system errors and exceptions

  • Propose and implement process improvements as necessary to achieve optimal efficiency and effectiveness

  • Follow policies and procedures to adhere to internal controls

  • Assist external and internal auditors to help understand processes and provide the necessary control support

  • Plan work to ensure achievement of goals within established time frames and budgets

  • Complete special assignments & projects for the department as necessary

  • Ability to work overtime as needed, especially during quarter end


Required Qualifications :

·         10+ years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience


·         Experience in insurance/reinsurance accounting or financial services, preferred


·         Experience working for a company with multiple legal entities, preferred


·         Advanced Excel skills including mastery of pivot tables, vlookups and familiarity with Power Pivot


·         SAP experience in FI and CO modules, posting entries, running reports, performing research


·         Strong attention to detail with ability to work effectively in fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines


·         Solid analytic and critical thinking skills with strong problem-solving ability


·         Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills


·         Ability to work effectively independently & as part of a team


·         Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with individuals at all levels within the Company to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results


·         Dependable with an ability to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines


·         Strong organizational and time management skills
