Our client is a growing Multi-Billion Dollar, global Manufacturer, that is centralizing their HQ in South Charlotte.  This position is a newly approved role reporting to a FANTASTIC Tax Director that is well known for her impressive mentoring skills.  If you are tired of busy season and ready to make a change, this is a GREAT opportunity to join a growing tax team with local room for growth.

 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Prepare an accurate and timely filed consolidated federal income tax return with related workpapers that support the adjustments made and tax positions taken, including international aspects of US domestic tax return. Oversee, and prepare when required, the filing of timely filed state and local income and franchise tax returns.

  • Prepare the Company's domestic income tax provision under ASC subtopic 740, considering all necessary book/tax differences and adjustments and uncertain tax positions

  • Assist in the compilation of the worldwide income tax provision and required tax disclosures under US GAAP and IFRS

  • Administer Corptax tax provision and tax return software

  • Prepare and analyze monthly worldwide tax account reconciliations and cash tax payments and related financial statement disclosures

  • Review changes to tax fixed asset records, prepare reconciliation and roll-forward of tax basis, and assist in reconciling the basis differences

  • Document and test tax internal control processes to ensure the corporate tax function is in compliance with the Company’s Sarbanes Oxley policies and procedures

  • Assist in developing responses to inquiries by various taxing authorities

  • Monitor changes in tax law, and evaluate the potential impact on the Company’s business and tax provision

  • Support the development of tax strategies related to the Company’s current business and any proposed business initiatives

  • Partner with others across the company to effectively plan and record the tax effects of business operations and accounting changes



Required Qualifications :


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance

  • CPA and/or Master’s Degree a plus

  • 3 years of tax experience within a public accounting firm

  • Complex Federal and International tax concepts applicable to corporations

  • Experience in ASC 740 income tax provision preparation, analysis and financial statement disclosures

  • Working understanding of Corptax Income Tax Return and Tax Provision software or similar software tools
