TalentBridge has partnered with a high volume supplier to the heavy equipment industry is in need of a full-time supplier quality engineer.



Summary:


  • Lead the implementation of controls to maintain high quality results to support new product development 

  • Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule

  • Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement

  • Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s

  • Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals

  • Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformance

  • Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply

  • Develop long‐term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas

  • Aide Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development process

  • Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting SAS requirements. Projects may include: SQPPM, supplier corrective actions & responsiveness, process analysis, process capability and throughput analysis, 5S and Kaizen events

  • Perform root cause analysis, PPAPs, PV&V audits

  • Conduct supplier qualification process, short and long form audits

  • Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base




Required Qualifications :


  • Quality engineering basics

  • Supplier audit process

  • Process knowledge

  • Experience working with ISO 9001 standards

  • FMEA's

  • Continuous improvement using lean/six sigma tools 

  • Statistical process controls (SPC) 

  • 25% domestic travel

  • Must have an Engineering degree or equivalent.
